At the Tortuga Lodge

It was a frantic drive darting Delmonte trucks, crazy Ticos on bikes on the side of the highway, and navigating the potholes to La Pavona, where we ditched our rental car, paid a dollar to use the restroom, and took an hour boat ride to Tortugerero. Our resort is lovely... We are sitting by the canal waiting for our lunch. I'm having plantain chips and guacamole.  We have already stalked a giant iguana in the tree outside our cabin.

I need to commend Brian for his awesome driving. He can maneuver around trucks and people with ease, and he doesn't exhibit road rage.
